A thorough education and understanding of cross contamination. A current blood borne pathogens training certificate.
The main goal of this studio is to provide superb customer service for the clients. Empathy for their individual situation and patience for their lack of knowledge or pain tolerance. We pride ourselves on being welcoming and neighborly. Our clients are from all walks of life and everyone feels comfortable with us because we treat them the way we would want to be treated.
Disposable tubes are used for all of our tattoos because of the way the studio is set up. We dont have a clean room because the only things we re-use are the tattoo machines themselves so there is nothing to scrub. It only took me a week or two to get used to disposable tubes and I havent had to scrub tubes in over a year. It just keeps everything cleaner and our exposure to contaminated equipment at a minimum.
Youll need a locally based clientele or be proficient at self promotion. I can help with this as Ive been self promoting online for years. Most of the tools I use are free or very cheap.
We provide:
A well maintained, clean and professional studio in the heart of Seattle. The studio is in a professional office with private rooms for each artist. We are located on a busy, trendy street with lots of pedestrians but we dont have store front so it has a private studio feel. My clients love this and it makes them feel very special.
All state requirements will be available to you. Starting in July of 2010 a body artist license will be required in Washington State. Im on the advisory board at the Washington State Department of Licensing and for the last nine months weve been helping them work on the law that passed. Its going to be fairly simple and I can walk you through the whole process.
Liability insurance for each artist will be available for a fraction of the individual cost. Insurance will be a requirement for licensing in Washington State as of July of 2010.
Anytime you want to talk about concerns at the studio I will make myself available to you and you will have my full attention. We have a no drama studio right now and we like it that way.
60% commission on all tattoos and you keep 100% of your tips.
Flexible schedule. You can choose the hours that you want to work and the days.
