Hello you, yes you, I will be moving to NewYork the 2nd week of November. I am a designer/artist/house producer moving my many endeavors out here. I will be setting up connections with friends from Miami, Ibiza(Spain) and California to come out to New York, in the next several months as well. I am looking for temporary to permanent housing and a job to get me going. I’m open to job opportunities and housing to kick start a great experience in a new city. I come from a good family and have a degree in design and have worked for multiple studios. Up and coming Womens Ready to Wear label is seeking devoted interns to work on SS10 production and development of the upcoming FW10 collection. Knowledge in the following areas needed: Pattern Making, Garment Construction, Trim and Fabric Sourcing, Excel, and Photoshop. Working from studio in Williamsburg as well as errands in mainly midtown. Part time or full time, starting immediately.

Our lookbook shoot is happening on Monday Oct 19th. An extra hand could be useful!

You’ll receive a legal release stating the photos will be used for gallery showings and portfolio purposes. The photos will NOT be sold to commercial third parties. Additionally your name will NEVER be used in association w/ the photos. Pictures will be used in gallery showings and in compilation book and on my site– but again, no name is ever used.

You may bring anyone you wish to the shoot – chaperons are welcome. Shoots will always happen on weekends. SHOOT WILL TAKE APPROX. 3 HRS or less.

You’ll be paid $900 cash up front and you should note too that I’ll do everything possible to meet/speak at length in advance for your own sense of comfort and to go over any questions you may have.

-You must be all natural – nothing fake please – no silicone!

-Tattoos can be problematic – I prefer no tattoos on the front of your body but if they can be photoshopped out then it could be allowable.

MUST LOVE ANIMALS AND HAVE AN INTEREST IN ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS!

This is for a start-up company that is selling eco-friendly products online and we donate to different animal shelters each month.

PHOTOGRAPHERS- I need about 2-3 photographers (this way I can rotate around and not depend on one photographer all the time) to shoot my dog ( a little chihuahua mix named rosie) with some of the products on my site. She is the mascot of the site and the spokesperson-dog of the blog. She is very sweet and was a rescue dog from puerto rico…when we are home she is a ham in front of the camera but when she is out she can get a little nervous so I need someone with some patience. But if you photograph animals, you know the gig. We live on the upper eastside and rosie doesn’t do bags! So I need to cab her so I can deal with photographers in manhattan. I also need someone that has their own studio space or access to Free space that’s cool to shoot in. This is an unpaid gig but in return you will get photo credit, exposure and free advertising from this project as I am spending a lot to get the website built and picking up the tab for advertising. So it’s a great way to get your work out there. You will be photographing rosie on dog beds, some toys, handbags, scarves etc…….i want it to be upscale, simple but artistic, not corny or just commercial shots that you see in a catalog…i want you to really feel you can use your artistic abilities, creative lighting etc.. Also, must have experience with photoshop so photos can be touched up if need be (rosie has a little tearing problem and I don’t want muck in the eyes to ruin your beautiful picture)…you can have a lot of fun with this project.

SOCIAL NETWORKING BLOGGER-I am seeking a social networker/blogger intern with great writing skills, an outgoing personality, sound judgment, confidence, leadership skills and creativity ( be pro-active…..i want to hear your ideas) manage the social networking part for my new e-commerce site. The Social Networker’s responsibilities will include: developing blog posts, video, photos and podcasts to communicate news, product announcements, provide insights on industry trends and issues. They will utilize the most current social networking tools and applications. be very proactive ….this is a real company that you will be representing.

This is a unpaid internship. Right now it would be about 1 day a week but if you want to do this for school credit then we can set up a more specific schedule. We will meet on the upper east side but a lot of the work can be done from your home. I might need more hours on some weeks…I’m fine as long as things get some by the deadline. Our new interior decor boutique is looking for a person experience in sales within the interior decor industry. We are interested in someone who is willing to work both Saturday and Sundays and an addition one or two days a week. Ability to source new items, track deliveries, create displays, manage inventory and communicate directly with our vendors – and of course work directly with customers.
