Purpose:
Design and develop seasonal concepts based on thorough trend and competitive
research and overall creative direction, with direction from Designer. Manage
seasonal product design execution for the business classification to achieve
overall creative and business objectives. This includes fabric and trim
selection, styling, color, textile design, and fit.

TEMPORARY – 3 MONTH POSITION

Core Accountabilities:
· Research, interpret and apply market trends appropriate to the brand.
· Work with Designer to formulate seasonal strategies.
· Assist in development of color and concept direction with Designer for
specific classification responsibilities, and execution of related pattern work
and styling.
· Manage creative and technical development of product within the merchandise
assortment strategies.
· Develop technical sketches for new products.
· Develop accurate and technically viable Proto Spec Packages in WebPDM.
· Review all prototype samples for construction, silhouette, fit, and trim
details.

· Select seasonal fabrics and washes.
· Attend Product Fittings and address fit issues to maintain the design
integrity and ensure the fit is brand appropriate.

PART- TIME PERMENANT ASSISTANT; Exclusive design studio is looking for a production room pattern maker and cutter. This positon also includes assisting owner/designer in day to day studio duties: helping with photoshop applications, phones, filing, ordering fabrics, making client appointments and helping the salon and studio stay organized. Very good pattern skills are absolutely necessary. We manipulate flat patterns to fit clientele…no computer patterns are used. Understanding draping, shapes, grading and laying out patterns on silks is required. Good knowledge of silk fabrics and cutting with paper under/over is also mandatory.
